Mesodyne Appoints John LaBelle as Chief Growth Officer

Mesodyne Inc. announced that John LaBelle has been appointed into a newly-created Chief Growth Officer role, effective July 1.

LaBelle joins Mesodyne from an investment banking role with Moelis & Company, where he advised companies on a multitude of transaction types and sizes. He additionally brings extensive experience in corporate finance and M&A.  He also previously served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, where he deployed to Iraq and Syria. In this newly created role, Mesodyne will seek to leverage LaBelle’s breadth of experience to continue to grow the company and accelerate delivery of the LightCell™ at scale.

“We’re thrilled to add John’s expertise to the Mesodyne team,” said Dr. Veronika Stelmakh, CEO and cofounder of Mesodyne. “He acutely understands the needs of many of our customers, and, with his financial background, will be well-positioned to help our company grow at this crucial stage in its development.”

“Mesodyne has developed a revolutionary product that is poised to dramatically improve remote power generation in the most extreme situations. I wish I’d had the LightCell™ when I was in the Army,” said John LaBelle, Mesodyne’s Chief Growth Officer. “I’m excited to work with the Mesodyne leadership team to help get it into the hands of the people who need it the most.”

LaBelle holds an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business and a BS from The United States Military Academy at West Point.
